Description

This marble cherry cake is a delicious classic that can be easily prepared with the Thermomix®. The cake consists of a light and a dark dough, refined with juicy cherries. Ideal for afternoon coffee or as a dessert. The preparation time is about 90 minutes.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 200 g room-temperature Butter
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 250 g Milk
  • 4 piece Eggs
  • 400 g Wheat flour 700
  • 16 g Baking powder
  • 15 g Cocoa powder
  • 350 g pitted Cherries

Preparation (9 steps)

Mix butter and sugar until fluffy

Put 200 g room-temperature butter and 250 g sugar into the mixing bowl and mix for 3 min./speed 3 until fluffy.

Add eggs

Add 4 eggs one after the other and continue mixing for 2 min./speed 3.

Stir in flour, baking powder and milk alternately

Mix 400 g wheat flour 700 and 16 g baking powder. Add alternately to the mixing bowl with 250 g milk and stir in for 1 min./speed 3.

Divide dough

Transfer about half of the dough to a separate bowl.

Prepare cocoa dough

Add the second half of the dough with 15 g cocoa powder to the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec./speed 3.

Layer doughs

Spread half of the light dough evenly on a baking sheet (40cm x 30cm) or in a baking frame. Then spread the dark mixture evenly on the light mixture.

Prepare cherries

Slice 350 g pitted cherries with the Wundermix WunderSlicer V2 and the fine disc on the mixing bowl lid. Catch the cherry slices and spread them on the cake.

Baking

Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 35 minutes.

Cool and sprinkle

Then let it cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
