Description

This pasta with salted beef and tomatoes is a comforting and easy dish to prepare, perfect for a quick and tasty weeknight meal. I love this recipe because it's simple and uses ingredients I often have on hand. The salted beef brings a rich and umami flavor that pairs wonderfully with the sweetness of the tomatoes. It's an ideal dish for evenings when you don't have much time but want something substantial. You can easily add other vegetables like peppers or mushrooms for a change. A real delight!

  • 1 can salted beef
  • Pasta
  • 1 can peeled tomato
  • 1 piece onion
  • 1 can tomato concentrate
  • 1 piece sugar
  • Thyme
  • Fine salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive oil

Preparation (8 steps)

Chop the onion

Put the onion in the Thermomix bowl and chop finely for 3 Sec./level 5.

Sauté the onion

Add olive oil to the Thermomix bowl and sauté the onion for 3 Min./120°C/level 1.

Add the thyme and sugar

Thermomix® Setting

Add the thyme and sugar to the Thermomix bowl and mix for 5 Sec./level 2.

Cook the salted beef

Cut the salted beef into pieces and cook it in a pan over low heat, stirring regularly, until melted.

Add the tomato concentrate

Add the tomato concentrate to the pan and mix with the salted beef.

Add the tomatoes and water

Add the equivalent of a can of tomato concentrate filled with water and the peeled tomatoes cut into pieces in the pan. Salt and pepper according to your taste.

Let the sauce simmer

Let the sauce simmer over low heat for 5 minutes, stirring from time to time.

Mix the pasta and sauce

Once the preparation is ready, incorporate it into the drained pasta, serve and eat immediately.
