Description

This chicken noodle bake is a comforting and satisfying dish that's perfect for a family dinner. I've been making this recipe for years, and it's always a hit! It's a great way to use up leftover cooked chicken, and the creamy sauce and tender noodles make it incredibly delicious. The addition of mixed vegetables adds a touch of freshness and color. This bake is also ideal for meal prepping – you can easily assemble it ahead of time and bake it when you're ready to eat. It's a hearty and flavorful casserole that everyone will love.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 2 cups cubed cooked chicken
  • 2 cups medium egg noodles, cooked and drained
  • 10.5 ounce can of condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 tsp ground black pepper
  • 0.5 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Preparation (4 steps)

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

Combine ingredients

In a 1 ½-quart casserole dish, combine 2 cups of cubed cooked chicken, 2 cups of cooked and drained medium egg noodles, 1 (10.5 ounce) can of condensed cream of mushroom soup, 1 cup of frozen mixed vegetables, ½ cup of milk, ¼ cup of grated Parmesan cheese, and ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper. Mix well with a spoon.

Bake casserole

Bake in the preheated oven until hot, about 25 minutes. Remove from oven and stir.

Add cheese and bake again

Top with ½ cup of shredded Cheddar cheese. Bake for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.
