Description

This creamy fish soup with potatoes and vegetables is a true delight! I especially like to make it in autumn when the vegetables are fresh from the market. The combination of tender trout fillets, spicy potatoes and aromatic vegetables makes this soup an absolute favorite dish. A splash of white wine and a touch of curry powder give it a special touch. It is easy to prepare and warms from the inside - perfect for cold days! If you like, you can sprinkle some fresh chives over it.

Ingredients (17 ingredients)

  • 400 g Potato(es)
  • 150 g Carrot(s)
  • 150 g Celery
  • 1 piece Onion(s), medium-sized
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 400 ml Fish stock
  • 125 ml White wine
  • 125 ml Cream
  • 1 piece Butter
  • 1 Lorbeerblatt Bay leaf
  • 400 g Trout fillet(s)
  • 1 EL, gestr. Curry powder
  • to taste Lemon juice
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • to taste Sugar
  • 1 bunch Chives

Preparation (8 steps)

Chop Onion and Garlic

Peel, quarter the onion and place in the mixing bowl with the garlic cloves. Chop for 3 sec./speed 5.

Sauté Vegetables

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Peel the potatoes, carrots and celery, cut into cubes and place in the mixing bowl together with a piece of butter. Sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Deglaze and Simmer

Thermomix® Setting
20 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Deglaze with white wine and add the bay leaf. Add the fish stock and simmer for 20 min./100°C/speed 1.

Prepare Fish

Cut the trout fillets into cubes, drizzle with lemon juice, season with salt and pepper and let it sit for a few minutes.

Puree Soup

30 sec/Speed 8

After 20 minutes, remove the bay leaf and puree the soup for 30 sec./speed 8. Use spatula if necessary.

Refine Soup

2 min/194°F/Gentle stir speed 90 Reverse

Stir in the cream and season with curry powder, salt, pepper, lemon juice and sugar. Heat for 2 min./90°C/gentle stir setting.

Cook Fish

8 min/194°F/Gentle stir speed 90 Reverse

Add the fish cubes to the hot soup and let them cook for 8 min./90°C/gentle stir setting/reverse.

Add the chopped chives before serving.
