Description

This chai latte with a hint of caramel is a wonderfully warming drink for cold days. I especially like to make it during the Christmas season, when the scent of cinnamon and spices fills the whole apartment. Preparation with the Thermomix® is very easy and quick. The chai tea is brewed perfectly, the milk is frothed creamy and the caramel liqueur provides a fine, sweet note. An absolute must for anyone who likes it spicy and sweet! If you like it alcohol-free, you can simply omit the liqueur or replace it with caramel syrup.

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

4 piece Chai tea bags
3 tsp Sugar
0.25 tsp ground Cinnamon
150 ml Milk
4 tbsp Coffee liqueur
1000 ml Water

Prepare Chai Tea

Add 1 l water to the mixing bowl and bring to the boil for 5 min./100°C/speed 1. Then hang the chai tea bags in the mixing bowl and let steep for 7 min./100°C/speed 1. Remove tea bags.

Mix sugar and cinnamon

Mix 3-4 tsp sugar and about ¼ tsp ground cinnamon in a small bowl and set aside.

Froth Milk

Add 150 ml milk to the mixing bowl and heat and froth for 3 min./70°C/speed 3.

Complete Chai Latte

Divide 4 tbsp coffee liqueur among four glasses. Pour over the prepared chai tea. Then carefully pour in the frothed milk and sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
