Description

This meatball stew with squid and peas is a traditional recipe that always triumphs at home. The meatballs, tender and juicy, combine perfectly with the flavour of the squid and the sweetness of the peas. The sauce, thick and tasty, is the final touch that makes this dish something special. Although it requires a bit of time, the result is worth it. Ideal for a family meal on a cold day or for a special occasion. A hearty and flavourful dish that you're sure to love!

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 2 piece small squids
  • peas
  • meatballs
  • 1 piece onion
  • 0.5 can natural fried tomato
  • 1 brick chicken stock
  • 40 gr almonds
  • 25 gr bread crumb
  • 2 clove garlics
  • parsley
  • pepper
  • salt
  • olive oil

Preparation (11 steps)

Fry the meatballs

Fry the meatballs in a frying pan with a little olive oil until golden brown. Set aside.

Sear the squid

Cut the squid into thin strips. Sear the squid in a hot frying pan with a little olive oil. Set aside.

Toast the almonds

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Toast the almonds in the oven for 15 minutes. Let cool.

Chop the onion

Put the onion in the bowl and chop 3 sec./Stufe 5. Lower the remains of the walls of the bowl with the spatula.

Onion and tomato sauce

Add olive oil to the bowl and sauté the onion 3 min./120°C/Stufe 1. Add the fried tomato and a pinch of salt. Sauté until a sauce with a good colour remains, approximately 5 min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Prepare the minced mixture

Thermomix® Setting

Put the toasted almonds, garlics, parsley, salt and pepper in the bowl. Chop 10 sec./Stufe 7. Set aside.

Add squid and meatballs

Add the squid and meatballs to the sauce in the bowl.

Add chicken stock

15 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add the chicken stock to the bowl. Let boil 15 min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Add the minced mixture and the bread

Thermomix® Setting
10 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add the minced mixture and the bread crumb to the bowl. Stir carefully with the spatula. Cook 10 min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Add the peas

Add the peas to the bowl. Cook 5 min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Serve

Remove from heat and serve to taste. It can be accompanied with chips.
