Description

This quick paella with prawns is an ideal recipe for an individual meal, full of Mediterranean flavor. I prepare it often when I have little time but I fancy something tasty and comforting. The rice is creamy and the prawns give it a special touch. It is perfect for a quick lunch or a light dinner. You can use fish stock or just water, it is delicious anyway! If you like, you can add a little saffron for a more intense color. Go ahead and try it!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 2 puñado rice
  • 1 trozo onion
  • 1 trozo green pepper
  • 1 trozo red pepper
  • 1 piece tomato
  • to taste salt
  • olive oil
  • stock
  • to taste paella seasoning
  • prawns

Preparation (5 steps)

Chop the vegetables

Introduce a piece of onion, a piece of green pepper, a piece of red pepper (or of a single colour) and a peeled tomato in the Thermomix bowl. Chop for 5 seconds/Stufe 5.

Sauté

Pour the crushed mixture into the Thermomix bowl, add a few drops of olive oil and salt. Sauté for 5 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Add the rice and seasoning

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 2

Add the desired amount of rice (a few handfuls per person) and paella seasoning or coloring to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 10 Sek./Stufe 2.

Cook the rice

Thermomix® Setting
15 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Cover the rice with stock or water in the Thermomix bowl. Cook for 15 Min./100°C/Stufe 1. If necessary, add more stock or water during cooking.

Add the prawns

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/212°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 100 Reverse

In the last 3 minutes of cooking, add the peeled prawns to the Thermomix bowl. Cook for 3 Min./100°C/Linkslauf Stufe 1.
