Description

This chicken caramelized with Sriracha sauce is a real delight! I often prepare it for a quick and tasty dinner. The tender pieces of chicken, coated in a sweet and sour and slightly spicy sauce, are simply irresistible. Soy sauce and honey add a sweet touch, while Sriracha enhances it with a hint of spiciness. Served with cooked rice, it is a complete and comforting dish. Perfect for lovers of Asian flavors and spicy dishes! Feel free to adjust the amount of Sriracha to your liking. A real treat!

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 4 piece chicken breasts
  • 30 g cornstarch
  • Sunflower oil
  • 25 g sugar
  • 24 cl water
  • 5 c. à s. soy sauce
  • 3 c. à s. honey
  • 2 c. à s. Sriracha chili sauce
  • 2 c. à s. cornstarch
  • 2 c. à s. cold water
  • 1 c. à s. chopped garlic
  • 300 g cooked rice

Preparation (7 steps)

Chicken preparation

Cut the chicken breasts into medium-sized pieces and place them in a salad bowl. Add 30 g of cornstarch and mix to coat the chicken well. Set aside.

Sauce preparation

Thermomix® Setting

In the Thermomix bowl, mix 25 g of sugar, 24 cl of water, 5 tbsp of soy sauce, 3 tbsp of honey, 2 tbsp of Sriracha chili sauce, 2 tbsp of cornstarch and 2 tbsp of cold water. Mix 10 Sec./Level 4.

Sauce cooking

Cook the sauce in the Thermomix for 8 Min./100°C/Level 2.

Garlic addition

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 3

Add 1 tbsp of chopped garlic to the sauce and mix 5 Sec./Level 3.

Chicken cooking

In a pan, heat some sunflower oil. Cook the pieces of chicken until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.

Chicken coating

Pour the Sriracha sauce over the cooked chicken and mix gently to coat each piece well.

Serving

Serve the caramelized chicken with 300 g of cooked rice.
