The Bolognese sauce can be prepared well and frozen.

Ingredients (14 ingredients)

  • 2 piece Onions
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 piece Carrots
  • 100 g Celery
  • 2 Zehen Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 500 g Minced meat, mixed
  • 800 g Chopped tomatoes
  • 125 ml Red wine
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 1 piece Bay leaf
  • 1 tsp Oregano, dried
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper

Preparation (8 steps)

Chop onions

Peel and quarter onions and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 sec./level 5.

Sauté onions

Add olive oil to the onions in the mixing bowl. Sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Chop carrots and celery

Thermomix® Setting

Clean carrots and celery, roughly chop and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 5 sec./level 5.

Chop garlic

Add garlic cloves and chop for 3 sec./level 7.

Sauté vegetables

3 min/248°F/Speed 1 248°F

Add tomato paste and sauté for another 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Fry meat

Fry minced meat in a separate pan until crumbly.

Add meat and remaining ingredients

60 min/212°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 212°F Reverse

Add fried minced meat, chopped tomatoes, red wine, milk, bay leaf, oregano, salt and pepper to the mixing bowl. Cook for 60 min./100°C/reverse rotation level 1. Leave the measuring cup on.

Remove bay leaf. Season Bolognese sauce with salt and pepper and serve.
