Description

These potato and tuna fritters are a simple and delicious dish, perfect for a quick meal or as an appetizer. The combination of the soft potato and the tasty tuna is simply irresistible. I often prepare them for my children, and they always disappear in the blink of an eye! Also, they are very versatile: you can add your favorite spices or even a little grated cheese to give them an extra touch. The recipe is very easy to adapt and is prepared in a short time with the Thermomix®. Go ahead and try them, you will love them! They are ideal for any occasion, from an informal dinner to a party with friends. Enjoy your meal!

  • 3 piece medium potatoes
  • 1 can tuna
  • 1 piece egg
  • breadcrumbs
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • oil

Preparation (6 steps)

Cooking the potatoes

Thermomix® Setting
20 min/Varoma/Speed 1 Varoma

Peel 3 medium potatoes and cut them into slices. Place the potato slices in the simmering basket. Pour 700 ml of water into the bowl. Insert the simmering basket with the potatoes and program 20 Min./Varoma/Stufe 1.

Preparation of the mashed potatoes

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4

Remove the simmering basket with the cooked potatoes. Empty the bowl. Place the cooked potatoes in the bowl and crush 20 Sek./Stufe 4. Check the consistency and, if necessary, crush a few more seconds until you obtain a fine puree.

Mixing ingredients

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3

Add 1 egg, 1 pinch of salt and 1 pinch of pepper to the mashed potatoes in the bowl. Mix 10 Sek./Stufe 3.

Incorporating the tuna

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Linkslauf Speed 2 Reverse

Add 1 can of crumbled and well-drained tuna to the bowl. Mix 10 Sek./Linkslauf Stufe 2.

Formation of the fritters

10 sec/Linkslauf Speed 2 Reverse

Add breadcrumbs little by little to the bowl, mixing 10 Sek./Linkslauf Stufe 2 after each addition, until you obtain a dough that easily detaches from your fingers. Remove the dough from the bowl and form fritters of about 5 cm in diameter and 1 cm thick.

Cooking the fritters

Heat a little oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the potato and tuna fritters on both sides until golden brown. Serve hot.
