Description

This sheet cake apple cake is a classic recipe that is easily prepared with the Thermomix®. Juicy dough, fresh apples and crispy cinnamon crumbles make it a perfect cake for the afternoon or as a dessert. The WonderSlicer V2 allows the apples to be cut quickly and evenly. The cake is ideal for families and can be prepared well in advance.

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 200 g soft Butter
  • 180 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 4 piece Eggs
  • 300 g Flour
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 150 ml Milk
  • 3 piece Apples
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 150 g Flour
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 100 g cold Butter
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon

Preparation (10 steps)

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 180°C top/bottom heat.

Stir butter, sugar and vanilla sugar until creamy

Put 200 g soft butter, 180 g sugar and 1 packet vanilla sugar in the mixing bowl and stir until creamy for 2 min./speed 3.

Add eggs, flour and baking powder

Add 4 eggs, 300 g flour and 1 packet baking powder and mix for 2 min./speed 4.

Stir in milk

Thermomix® Setting

Add 150 ml milk and stir in for 30 sec./speed 3.

Prepare apples

Peel and core 3-4 apples. Place the WonderSlicer V2 on the mixing bowl lid, select the fine slice and cut the apples into fine slices. Collect the cut material.

Spread dough on baking sheet

Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper (approx. 20x30 cm) and spread evenly.

Place apple slices on top

Spread the apple slices on the dough.

Prepare cinnamon crumbles

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 5

For the cinnamon crumbles, put 150 g flour, 100 g sugar, 100 g cold butter in pieces and 1 tsp cinnamon in the mixing bowl and process into crumbles for 30 sec./speed 5.

Spread crumbles and bake

Sprinkle the cinnamon crumbles over the apple slices and bake the cake in the preheated oven for approx. 30 minutes.

Let cool and serve

After baking, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar and serve.
