Description

This tomato mozzarella pizza is a true classic and tastes simply delicious! The dough becomes wonderfully smooth in the Thermomix® and the preparation is very easy. Topped with fresh tomatoes and creamy mozzarella, it's perfect for a cozy evening or as a highlight at the next brunch. I love to sprinkle a few fresh basil leaves on top after baking – that gives the pizza the finishing touch. A dash of balsamic cream rounds off the taste experience. Simple, quick and always a pleasure!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 300 g Wheat flour Type 550
  • 1 Pck. Dry yeast
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 3 tbsp Salt
  • 200 g Flour for the work surface
  • 3 piece Tomatoes
  • 200 g Mozzarella
  • 25 g Pepper

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting

Put 300 g wheat flour type 550, 1 pack of dry yeast, 1 teaspoon of sugar and 3 tablespoons of salt in the mixing bowl. Add 150 ml of lukewarm water and 1 tablespoon of oil and knead to a smooth dough for 2 min./kneading stage.

Let the dough rise

Pour the dough into a bowl, cover and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until it has roughly doubled in volume. The Thermomix is not required for this step.

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 220 °C (top/bottom heat). Place a baking sheet upside down in the middle of the oven and heat it up as well. The Thermomix is not required for this step.

Top pizza

Roll out the dough on the floured work surface (with 200 g flour) to approximately the size of a baking sheet and place on a sheet of baking paper. Wash the tomatoes, remove the stalk and cut into slices. Drain the mozzarella, pat dry and also cut into slices. Spread both evenly on the pizza. Sprinkle with 25 g of pepper and drizzle with the remaining olive oil (2 tbsp).

Bake pizza

Carefully pull the pizza with the baking paper onto the hot baking sheet and bake in the oven for 12–15 minutes until the dough is crispy and the cheese is melted. The Thermomix is not required for this step.
