Description

These stuffed chicken rolls are an explosion of flavor! Prepared with tender chicken breast, stuffed with smoked bacon and melted cheese, they are perfect for a tasty and quick dinner. The recipe is very simple and adapts very well to preparation with the Thermomix®. I love them grilled, but they can also be cooked in a pan or in the oven. A delicious idea for a Sunday lunch or a dinner with friends. Try them with a side of baked potatoes or a fresh salad for a complete and balanced meal. A true comfort food!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 4 piece Chicken breast
  • 4 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 100 g Smoked bacon
  • 100 g Edam cheese
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Black pepper
  • 500 g Potatoes
  • 500 ml Water

Preparation (7 steps)

Preparation of the chicken breast

Divide the chicken breasts into two parts, removing the central bone and excess fat. Salt and pepper the chicken breasts.

Browning the chicken

In a pan, heat a generous drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Brown the chicken breasts on the salted and peppered side. Once browned, remove the breasts from the pan and set aside.

Preparation of the filling

Make deep incisions in the chicken breasts on the non-browned side. Insert the cheese and smoked bacon into the incisions.

Baking in the oven

Transfer the chicken breasts to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Grease the surface with extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper. Bake at 180°C for 20 minutes.

Final browning

Turn on the oven grill and roast the chicken breasts for 10 minutes, until golden brown.

Preparation of potato side dish

Thermomix® Setting

Put 500 g of diced potatoes into the bowl. Add 500 ml of water into the bowl. Place the Varoma container on top of the bowl and cook for 25 Min./Varoma/Stufe 1.

Serve

Serve the stuffed chicken breasts immediately with the Varoma-cooked potatoes or with a fresh salad.
