Description

This butter cake is a real classic and is very easy to make with the Thermomix®. I've been baking it since I was a child and it always tastes great! The preparation is straightforward and the cake is perfect for birthdays, brunch or just with coffee. The use of butter makes it particularly juicy and aromatic. If you like, you can add a few almonds or sprinkles on top. An absolute favorite recipe that I am happy to share!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 200 g Butter (soft)
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 1 Pck. Vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 4 piece Eggs
  • 400 g Wheat flour Type 405
  • 1 Pck. Baking powder
  • 150 ml Milk
  • 2 tbsp Powdered sugar

Preparation (7 steps)

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat.

Stir butter, sugar and vanilla sugar

Put 200 g soft butter, 150 g sugar, 1 packet of vanilla sugar and 1 pinch of salt into the mixing bowl and stir for 3 min/speed 4.

Add eggs

Add 4 eggs one after the other and stir in for 1 min/speed 4 each time.

Mix flour, baking powder and milk

Mix 400 g wheat flour type 405 and 1 packet of baking powder. Add alternately with 150 ml milk to the mixing bowl and stir in for 2 min/speed 3.

Fill dough into mold

Grease and flour a 1.5 l Bundt cake pan or loaf pan. Pour in the dough.

Bake cake

Bake the cake for approx. 1 hour. Pay attention to whether it gets too dark, then cover with aluminum foil. If no more dough sticks to a wooden skewer, remove from the oven and let stand in the mold for 10 minutes. Turn out onto a wire rack and let cool.

Dust with powdered sugar

Dust the cooled cake with 2 tbsp powdered sugar.
