Description

This tomato mozzarella plate is a real classic and is on our table almost every day in the summer! The combination of juicy tomatoes, creamy mozzarella and fresh basil is simply unbeatable. With a touch of garlic, good olive oil and balsamic vinegar, it becomes a delicious appetizer or side dish. Super quick to prepare and perfect for barbecues or as a light snack in between. I like to vary with different types of tomatoes and sometimes some arugula is added. An absolute favorite recipe that is always well received!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 250 g Tomato(es)
  • 1 Kugel Mozzarella
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic
  • 1 bunch Basil
  • Oil
  • Vinegar

Preparation (5 steps)

Chop garlic

Thermomix® Setting
3 sec/Speed 7

Put half a clove of garlic (or to taste) into the mixing bowl and chop for 3 seconds/speed 7. If necessary, scrape down from the edge with the spatula.

Prepare tomatoes and mozzarella

Wash the 250 g of tomatoes and cut into slices. Drain the 1 ball of mozzarella and also cut into slices.

Arrange and season

Arrange the tomato and mozzarella slices alternately on a plate or platter. Season with salt, pepper and the chopped garlic.

Add oil and vinegar

Drizzle some oil and vinegar over the salad. No Thermomix setting is necessary here.

Decorate and Serve

Wash the bunch of basil, pluck the leaves and decorate the salad with them. Serve immediately.
