Description

This pasta with Burrata and tomatoes is an absolute delight! The creamy Burrata harmonizes perfectly with the sweet, sun-ripened cherry tomatoes and the fresh basil pesto. I particularly like making this dish in summer, when the tomatoes develop their full flavor. It is super quick to prepare and is ideal for a light lunch or a quick dinner. If you like, you can sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese over it. A real treat!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 500 g Pasta
  • 500 g Cherry tomatoes
  • 4 tbsp Basil Pesto
  • 4 piece Burrata
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • Basil leaves
  • Sea salt
  • Black pepper from the mill

Preparation (6 steps)

Cook pasta

Prepare 500 g pasta according to the package instructions in salted water. In the meantime, continue with the next steps.

Prepare tomatoes

Wash and halve 500 g cherry tomatoes. Set aside.

Sauté tomatoes

Add 2 tbsp olive oil to the mixing bowl and heat for 3 min./120°C/speed 1. Then add the halved cherry tomatoes and sauté for a further 5 min./120°C/speed 1.

Add pesto

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/212°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 100 Reverse

Add 4 tbsp basil pesto to the mixing bowl. Add 1 ladle of pasta water and simmer for 2 min./100°C/reverse rotation speed 1. Season with sea salt and black pepper.

Mix pasta

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/Linkslauf Speed 2 Reverse

Add the cooked pasta directly from the pot, dripping wet, to the mixing bowl and mix under the tomato-pesto sauce for 1 min./reverse rotation speed 2.

Arrange and serve

Arrange the pasta on four plates and serve with a ball of Burrata and fresh basil leaves.
