Description

This recipe for chicken breast in cream cheese sauce is a hearty main course that is easy to prepare in the Thermomix®. The chicken breast is baked in a creamy sauce with cherry tomatoes. Ideal for a quick and inexpensive lunch or dinner.

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 piece large Onion
  • 1 piece Garlic clove
  • 100 g Cherry tomatoes
  • 4 piece Chicken breast fillets
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 200 ml Cream
  • 150 ml Milk
  • 200 g Double cream cheese
  • 1 tsp Sweet paprika powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Chopped parsley

Preparation (7 steps)

Preheat oven and prepare casserole dish

Preheat the oven to 180°C top/bottom heat. Lightly grease a casserole dish with some olive oil.

Prepare onion and garlic

Peel 1 large onion and 1 clove of garlic and cut into fine cubes. Wash and halve 100g cherry tomatoes.

Fry chicken breast

Fry 4 chicken breast fillets in a separate pan with 2 tablespoons of olive oil until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.

Sauté onion and garlic

Put the diced 1 large onion in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1. Add 1 clove of garlic and sauté briefly.

Prepare sauce

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/194°F/Speed 2 194°F

Add 1 tbsp tomato paste and sauté for 1 min./120°C/speed 1. Add 200 ml cream and 150 ml milk and stir for 5 min./90°C/speed 2. Add 200 g double cream cheese and stir for 2 min./60°C/speed 3. Season with 1 tsp sweet paprika powder, salt and pepper.

Layer and bake casserole

Place the 4 chicken breast fillets next to each other in the prepared casserole dish. Add the 100g halved cherry tomatoes and pour the sauce evenly over them. Bake in the preheated oven on the middle shelf for 25-30 minutes until the meat is cooked through.

Serve

Finely chop 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley and sprinkle over the chicken breast fillets before serving. Serve with rice.
