Description

This Thermomix® recipe for cinnamon stars is a Christmas classic. The main ingredients are cinnamon, almonds, egg white and powdered sugar. Preparation in the Thermomix® takes about 105 minutes, of which 45 minutes are active working time, and yields approx. 50 stars. Ideal as festive finger food, dessert or for baking during the Christmas season. Suitable for anyone who loves traditional Christmas cookies.

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 1 tsp Cinnamon, heaped
  • 350 g Ground almonds
  • 3 piece Egg white
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 300 g Powdered sugar

Mix cinnamon and almonds

Whisk egg white

Add egg white and salt to the mixing bowl and whisk until very stiff using the butterfly whisk. 3 min/speed 3.5

Fold in powdered sugar

Sieve 250 g of powdered sugar over it and carefully fold in. 15 sec/speed 2/reverse

Set aside mixture

Set aside 6 tablespoons of the mixture for brushing.

Knead in almond mixture

Quickly knead the cinnamon-almond mixture into the remaining egg white mixture. Insert Patix dough knife. 2 min/knead stage

Chill dough

Cover the dough and refrigerate for about 1 hour.

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 120 degrees convection.

Bake cinnamon stars

Dry the cinnamon stars in the oven for 15-25 minutes rather than bake them. They should be nice and light on top and still soft inside.
